Missouri QB arrested for leaving scene of accident
COLUMBIA | Missouri quarterback Corbin Berkstresser was arrested in Columbia this morning for leaving the scene of an accident.
Columbia police were dispatched to an accident in the 2900 block of Lynnwood Drive at 3:34 a.m. According to Officer Latisha Stroer, Berkstresser's vehicle struck the rear and front passenger side of the victim's vehicle, which was parked along the curb. No one was hurt, but Berkstresser left the scene of the accident without notifying the owner.

COLUMBIA | A New Mexico assistant with Memphis recruiting ties has emerged as Missouri coach Frank Haith's top choice to replace departed assistant Isaac Chew.
The Albuquerque Journal reported Monday night that New Mexico assistant Ryan Miller has been offered the job, which he could take pending an interview with Missouri athletic director Mike Alden.

Pinkel, wife announce separation
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel released a statement today announcing that he and his wife, Vicki, are getting a divorce.
"I am saddened to say that my wife and I separated at the beginning of this year," said Pinkel, who released the statement on his own accord. "Thank you to family and friends who have shown us support. I would ask that you please respect the privacy of the entire Pinkel family during this difficult time."
According to Pinkel’s bio on mutigers.com, he and Vicki have a daughter, Erin, and two sons (Geoff and Blake).

Mizzou associate AD Mark Alnutt hired at Southeast Missouri
COLUMBIA | Missouri athletic director Mike Alden is losing another one of his top lieutenants.
Southeast Missouri State announced during a news conference Thursday that it has hired Missouri senior associate AD Mark Alnutt as its new athletic director.
"It's a thrill and honor to be standing here in front of you as the new director of athletics," Alnutt said, according to the Southeast Missourian.
"What I stand for is I have a strong belief in the student-athlete as a student first," he said.

Mizzou loses second member of basketball staff
COLUMBIA | Tony Hanson is going home - well, sort of.
HansonHanson, who functioned as Missouri's coordinator of basketball operations last season, has taken an assistant coaching job at Winthrop.
The move represents a promotion for Hanson, who will be the third assistant on new coach Pat Kelsey's staff.

Mizzou Notebook: Season tickets and barnstorming
COLUMBIA | The University of Missouri announced today that it will implement a waiting list for new football season-ticket buyers this year.
It's unclear how many season tickets will be made available this season, but it's believed the school issued about 40,000 last year (including students). MU officials expect that number to rise this season, thanks to the school's much-anticipated move to the Southeastern Conference, and the hope is that the list will make the process go smoother.

Robinson is unanimous All-America
Thomas Robinson is an All-America, and it’s unanimous.
The final major All-America team was announced on Monday, and Robinson, fresh off a leading Kansas to a Midwest Regional championship game, joined Kentucky’s Anthony Davis, Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger, Michigan State’s Draymond Green and Creighton’s Doug McDermott on the Associated Press squad.
Robinson was the only member of the AP team to receive every first team vote on all 65 ballots. He’s the first player to receive all votes on the AP squad since Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin in 2009.

Bishop Miege's Ray racks up sacks in scrimmage
COLUMBIA | Missouri’s second scrimmage of the spring turned out just like the first – with the defense dominating the day.
The Tigers’ defensive unit won the scrimmage 9-3 on Thursday, and one of the standouts was redshirt freshman defensive end Shane Ray, a Bishop Miege graduate who had two of the defense’s three sacks.

MU wins sixth straight Border Showdown Title
COLUMBIA | It really has been a good year for Missouri sports.
Not only did the program find a home in the super-stable Southeastern Conference, it also saw its basketball team go 30-5 and its football team win a bowl game after another solid regular season.
Now, Tiger fans can celebrate yet another accomplishment - and this one is personal. Thanks to the softball team's three-game sweep of archrival Kansas last weekend, Missouri clinched its sixth straight Border Showdown title (and eighth in 10 years) against the Jayhawks.
