KU, Illinois Front and Center for MU's Weatherspoon
Missouri linebacker Sean Weatherspoon made a guest appearance on Rivals Radio on Tuesday and when asked about goals for his senior season, Spoon said what every Mizzou football fan likes to hear:
"You gotta beat KU at Mizzou."
Not that Spoon was looking past Illinois, Missouri's first-game opponent on Sept. 5 in St. Louis.
"You know that game is going to be tough," Weatherspoon said. "We don't
get a chance to go out there and play a really small school. We've got to start off with a big dog."
First practice of the season rolls around this afternoon in Columbia.
Check back here for some quick hits and, of course, there will be coverage in the print edition.

Uh, nowhere in this item is Nebraska mentioned. You can beat a horse - dead or otherwise - unless it is there to be beaten.
But thanks for reading.
I feel there is allot of talent at UNL as far as the football team goes. Anyone can run their mouth about who is what, or who has whatever. Truth is we play the game to see who is what. If all we had to do is sit back and run our mouths then each team would be the best ever for each team has die hard fans who believe in them. I think NE has a good shot at the big 12 north this year as MO and Kan have lost allot of what made them big. Time for good old UNL to restore the order in the North and then take it to the big 12 south. Bo has the right coaches and he knows how to develop young players. Its not about Ozborn any longer so try your best to stop beating a dead horse and open your eyes to what UNL brings to the table
Who says UNL?? Really??
It took me awhile to figure out who the H you were talking about until the "Time for good old UNL to restore the order in the North and then take it to the big 12 south." bit, then I knew it was just another senile nub fan.
October 8th can't come soon enough!!
UNL, seriously?
Wow what great insight! Turd.
