MU: No TV for Iowa State home finale

By Mike DeArmond - Posted on 09 November 2009

Early Monday evening, Missouri announce its final home football game of the season - Nov. 21 against Iowa State - would not be televised and would kick off at 1 p.m.

That finalizes kickoff times and TV plans for Missouri's final three regular season games.

The Tigers play at Kansas State on Saturday, an 11:30 a.m. start with Versus providing the TV coverage.

Following the Iowa State game, Missouri finishes the regular season against Kansas in the Border War Game on Nov. 28 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Earlier Monday, ABC selected that game for its 2:30 p.m. television slot.

i'm a huge football fan, but i've found myself lately not even caring to watch mu or ku or any of the games on tv ... it just doesn't seem the same anymore, and this game not being on tv is a big reason. i want to see every game on tv, it's something we as sports fans have become used to, and in this day and age, how do you expect us to really care about mizzou football if we can't even watch them on tv for a regular season game?

it's not the 1970's anymore, where people were happy to just listen on the radio and see 30-second highlights later on tv. i want to SEE the game.

this happened with the game against baylor, and now the one against iowa state. where's the incentive to watch and follow this team? it's a habit ... if they're on every week, we are watching. you pull them from tv, we find other things to do, it's that simple. might have the radio on in the background, but not really caring anymore.

these games have all been on tv in the last few years, but as soon as the team turns a little sour, we can't see them on tv. way to go mizzou athletic administration ... way to lose your fan base.

at this point, i don't really care, can find other stuff to do with my time.
