A Players Meeting at Mizzou?

Jared Perry said following Saturday's embarassing 40-32 loss to Baylor that the Missouri players were going to sit down on Sunday and have a man to man meeting.

Presumably without members of the coaching staff.

My first thought was they'd better hope it turns out better than the players only meeting Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing called last week.

By Monday's media gathering in Columbia, we'll be able to tell you want the MU players discussed at that meeting.

Not until Saturday - at the end of Missouri's game at Kansas State - will anyone know if the meeting helped the Tigers.

I suppose, in the meantime, Missouri fans need to hold onto a bit of basketball history.

I would simply remind everyone of a piece of Missouri basketball history.

That in the same season in which Missouri basketball was historically embarassed 120-68 at Arkansas, Missouri went unbeaten on the way to a conference
championship.

What that tells me is that on your worst day you can be embarassed, but that doesn't mean that on the next you must be again.

Stay tuned.
