The Wild Tiger and Elvis

In case you missed it, Missouri unveiled its version of the Wildcat formation with running back Derrick Washington taking the snap from center.

And with offensive tackle Elvis Fisher lined up in the backfield as another running back.

"That’s nice having Big Elvis back there," said Washington, "because you know he’s going to blow somebody up.

"He’s telling me I have to give him the ball every once in a while.”

Don't look for that to happen.

Officially, Missouri calls the formation "Jumbo"

Here's a vote for Wild Tiger.

That's how Mizzou played on offense in the first half at Colorado and the entire game on defense in the 36-17 victory in Boulder.

“We lost three in a row and a lot of guys were like, ‘It’s time to win. It’s time to get this victory. It’s time to come on,'" Washington said.

Time to keep on keeping on. Baylor is up next, Saturday at 1 p.m. in Columbia. And yes, with general admission tickets going on sale Monday, that means Mizzou officials anticipate a crowd approaching a sellout.
