Big 12 response to Mizzou

By Blair Kerkhoff - Posted on 21 October 2011

Here's what Big 12 interim commissioner Chuck Neinas had to say about the news about Missouri's news conference in Kansas City.

“We look forward to discussing Missouri’s future with the Big 12 Conference. The school has been involved with the Big 12 and its predecessor conferences since 1907. It is propitious that the Big 12 Board of Directors has a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. Obviously, Conference membership will be thoroughly discussed at that time.”

Missouri, you will never regret being the BIGGER School who makes the BOLD MOVE to the SEC! No mater how many tears are caused by the Fight for Freedom, people will remember Missouri is one of the schools who STEPPED up and did the right things leaving all she knew behind moving to the SEC! We all know this is not easy fight; In fact, let it never never be said it was! However, it is beyond imperative for Missouri to the Right thing and move to the SEC! Again, People will remember Missouri Stood Up and took the Chance to Do Dream and made the Move for Freedom and DID what is Right and Joined the SEC! Doing what is Right is always worth the pain it takes to reach your goal! During this long process we all need to remember sometimes in a great fight you win friends, often you end up making enemies who are too small to see your dream! Either way people remember and will respect you for doing things right no mater what the cost! In every revolution there is one person or one group with a vision. In this Fight I believe the Ones with the True Dream are the Missouri Fans who Want to escape the crumbling empire that was once the Big 8. In order to this we must all keep the pressure on Missouri to keep the faith and keep working to Joining the SEC Now! Not a Year from NOW! We have not reached the End of this Fight For Freedom, we have not even reached the Beginning of the End of this Fight for Freedom, we have only reached the End of the Very Beginning of this Great Fight for Freedom and entry into the MIGHTY SEC!

The reasons people know this fight is the correct fight for our time are made up of things each person feels inside about Life, Freedom, the right to make our Own Decisions without Anyone Interfering with Our Rights to control our fate and Make our Own Destiny by leaving the Toxic 12. Therefore it is personal and can never be explained to others who do not understand it for themselves. I can honestly say from what I have seen I do not think the 12 ever knew what she had with Missouri, never valued Missouri, and never was anything but a conference made from a marriage of convenience NOT LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, OR EVEN RESPECT! Then again maybe I am just a Southern who never was a Big 8 fan or Toxic 12 fan. I know that in order to win this Fight and Gain our Freedom and our Entry in to the SEC we must handle our words and actions with Honour, Style, WHILE SPEAKING IN ONE LOUD with a Will that would NOT QUIT DEMANDING OUR FREEDOM FOR THE EVIL TOXIC 12!

MU will not have abandoned anyone. The University of Missouri will still be 132 miles from Kansas City. It will still have the same activity that it has had here for years. The Big 12 can and may abandon KC, but by shifting Conferences MU is not abandoning anyplace. I seem to remember the Texas and Oklahoma schools forcing the Big 12 to move the league offices. How about moving the Big 12 Football Championship? How many other sports championships have been played in KC by the Big 12?

The Big 12 office moved to Texas and the north lost most of its influence because Missouri voted for Steve Hatchell to be the commissioner. They couldn't bring themselves to vote for Bob Fredricks. That's what really happened.

If Mizzou does bolt to the SEC, then the largest State University in the state of Missouri will have abandoned the Kansas City metro area for the likes of Baton Rouge, Atlanta, and Mobile.

Do you ever think that the KU-MU rivalry will die? Id sure will!
Do you think the B12 would ever schedule the B12- BB championships for an arena in a state where their is not conference representation (Sprint Arena in KC-MO? Their will be a diffinitive loss of B12 generated income to the Kansas City MISSOURI area if UM leaves for the SEC... and it will be the states of TEXAS & OKLAHOMA that WILL GAIN FINANCIALLY.

So Mizzou... abandon the western end of your state....but then perhaps Jackson, Cass, Clay & Platte counties Missouri should petition for inclusion in the state of KANSAS!

That just made me throw up in my mouth a little.

KC is still central to 3 B12 schools (ISU, KU, KSU). The tourny will likely bounce between OKC, KC and Dallas/FW.

Meanwhile, there is absolutely no chance for an SEC tourny in KC and a very slim one for St Louis. So MU fans will have to keep their bags packed for the land of skeeters and peanuts.

What a thoughtless, uninformed rant.

You must have meant we should petition for the disolution of the state of Kansas.

Whaz you talkin' bout Willis?
